Biography
Michael P. Tomlinson is a shareholder at Tomlinson & Shapiro. Prior to founding Tomlinson & Shapiro, he was a shareholder at Tomlinson Law Office, P.C., which he founded in 2010. He began his legal career at a large national law firm, where he represented clients involved in various types of complex business litigation. At Tomlinson & Shapiro, Mr. Tomlinson focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, outside/fractional general counsel work, entity structuring and formation, drafting and reviewing governing documents (e.g., operating agreements, buy/sell agreements), and advising clients with respect to commercial transactions and contracts. He also represents clients in complex business disputes and litigation, as well as in FINRA, SEC, and other regulatory matters, providing clients with practical, risk-informed counsel across all stages of the business lifecycle.
